My sister and I have taken up a boot camp class which usually kicks our butts! It is a fun date night for us, and now that we have made it a routine it is easy to go. Neither of us are what you would call avid exercisers in a gym setting, so this is a big accomplishment. Our instructor was sick this week and we even went to McKinley Park and created our own little bootcamp!
My husband and I have decided that for the month of February we are not eating any sweets. This includes baked goods. I almost couldn't agree to this, because you know how I feel about baking. We compromised, and one time a week we get to cheat if we are having an insatiable hungry for sweets. I pretty much feel like I have an insatiable hunger for sweets everyday, but I am trying to substitute with fruit!! This is sort of how we diet. We will cut something out for the month and try and keep everything else healthier. I like having a light at the end of the tunnel.
If you're noticing a trend, I have to have someone to hold me to these standards I set for myself. If I didn't care about getting extremely fat and lazy I would cook, eat, grow food in the garden, cook, eat, well...you see where this would end up.
